It seems that the on the weeks I travel, I feel the need to catch up on my fitness. Today is no different, hence the later post.
I left this morning Vermont bound, and remembered on the whole drive over that I did not make it to the gym once, nor went out for a run. I felt very unaccomplished.
At least getting-in-shape-wise I felt unaccomplished.
Heading on Out
So right after I checked into the hotel, and checked in back home, I promptly put on my running shoes and headed out the door. It was a beautiful travel day, but an even better evening for a run through South Burlington.
3.2 miles is just the way to clear the mind, flex the muscles, and focus.
I also will be focusing on my diet more this week, a difficult task when traveling, but I have a goal in mind. If I stick to my plan, I’ll have a solid cheat meal waiting for me.
The good news is that I watched what I ate this past week, which helped me get back down to 200 lbs. Still 20 over the goal, but making progress again.
The Week Ahead
This upcoming week will be a good one, with Vermont for the next couple of days, then back to Maine just in time to turn around and come back out for a couple days of golf and a division meeting. Excited for some of the last rounds of golf of the season.
